PET/CT Technologist | $40.00 | Full time: Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm What Matters MostCompetitive Pay of $44.50 per hour Location: San Antonio, Texas 78229Contract roleWeekly Pay with direct deposit or pay cardWhen you work through Team1Medical, you are eligible to enroll in dental, vision, and medical insurance as well as 401K, direct deposit, and our referral bonus program Job Description One of the premier Healthcare organizations is seeking an PET/CT tech that will be responsible for the use of ionizing and non-ionizing radian to generate fusion images for diagnostic and research purposes. Submit your resume and see what opportunities are available for you! Responsibilities:Performs PET and PET/CT scanner operation for data acquisition and reconstruction.Reviews and acquires patients medical history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.Responsible for patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, and radiation safety/regulations.Evaluates and prepares the patient before beginning a procedure; and is able to effectively monitor patient during procedure.Recognizes emergency patient conditions and initiates lifesaving first aid when appropriate.Assists with quality control and service management to ensure continuous improvements in quality Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT services.Coordinates effective scheduling of procedures by organizing Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT resources and coordinating with key stakeholders. Qualifications and Requirements:Two (2) years of Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, or SPECT/CT experience is required. Current certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology by either American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required.
