Pest Control Technician - Residential

We are looking for motivated, driven individuals to join our team! 

As a Pest Control Technician, you will be responsible for working with a variety of customers in the residential space. By providing quality services and identifying solutions to pest problems you’ll help our customers to protect their homes and properties by maintaining a safe and healthy environment. Our comprehensive PAID TRAINING program is designed to provide the tools and resources for you to be one of the best in your field – no prior experience required! Once in an established route, this role offers flexible scheduling and ownership of the customer accounts you service.

What You Will Do: 

You will be responsible for working with a variety of residential customers to identify and solve pest problems Keep abreast of Ecolab’s product/service offerings and industry conditions, to enhance service and sales of pest prevention/elimination solutions Use handheld computerized equipment to manage service and document structural, sanitation and pest issuesRead, understand, follow labels, and MSDS forms for hazardous chemicals used during services provided  Inspect, maintain, and utilize Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) properly  Follow proper safety protocols including OSHA mandated and customer specified guidelines 

Position Details: 

This is a field-based position and may require travel in and around the surrounding areas:   

Fairmont, West Virginia (cities in route include Clarksburg, WV & Morgantown, WV) Monday-Friday; Day Shift

Minimum Qualifications: 

High School diploma or equivalentTwo years of work or military experience Position requires a current and valid Driver's LicenseDue to the nature and hours of work, must be 18 years of age or olderWillingness to be on-call during off work hours and weekends as necessary Position requires the ability to work overnight shifts as neededAnticipate 50% or more overnight travel for business during peak season  Position requires understanding and interpreting English labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for hazardous chemicals Position requires the ability to obtain required pest certification and/or business licensing pursuant to state/local lawEcolab conducts a background check and drug screens on all candidates who receive a job offerImmigration sponsorship not available for this role 

Physical Demands: 

Position requires wearing and using a respirator or Self-Contained Breathing ApparatusPosition requires lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying up to 70 pounds chest highPosition requires working in a variety of conditions which may include confined spaces, damp and/or dusty locations, freezing and hot conditions, extreme heights of up to 150 feet, and use of ladders, scissor lifts, or arial boom liftsEssential duties of the position include lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching, climbing, using hands and fingers, balancing, walking, standing, talking and hearingDrive a company vehicle as required to perform job duties (pre-employment and ongoing motor vehicle record checks will be performed to determine eligibility to drive a company vehicle)

Preferred Qualifications: 

Previous customer service experience Previous pest elimination industry or route experienceExperience with reading product labels, computing and mixing accurate concentrations of chemicals, following all label requirements  

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The total Compensation range for this position is $45,000-$67,400 which includes base pay and target incentive based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
