Job Summary
Provides age-appropriate exercise services, including fitness assessments, member orientation, and personal and group exercise classes. Offers personal and group training sessions. Helps with program development and marketing.
Essential Functions of the Role
Administers age-appropriate exercise readiness assessments and documents important findings, goals, and exercise plans. Reassesses participants and modifies the fitness program as needed.Communicates with participants about fitness center amenities.Instructs participants by selecting appropriate teaching methods. Presents information to reduce the risk of injury. Observes participants' behavior to establish comprehension. Modifies teaching techniques based on need.Directs and supervises the activities of personal or group fitness members.Performs administrative duties including follow-up phone calls and calendar updates.Participates in hospital-related activities to enhance personal and professional growth, enhance capabilities of team members, and help orientation.Provides supervision and education to participants requesting personal or group training.Exhibits good guest relations to participants, visitors, physicians, co-workers, students, and volunteers. Projects a positive image in all interactions.Takes part in professional development through attendance at continuing education.Provides direction and education to participants requesting personal or group training.Exhibits good guest relations to participants, visitors, physicians, co-workers, students, and volunteers. QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION - Bachelor'sEXPERIENCE - 1 Year of ExperienceCERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION
NON RQI AHA BLS (BLSNRQI), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), CPR/AED American Red Cross (CPREAD), Heartsaver CPR AED (HSAED): Must have one of the following:Basic Life Support (BLS)Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)Heartsaver AED (HSAED)CPR/AED through American Red Cross.
