Description
We are looking for a dedicated Permit Specialist to join our team in Loveland, Colorado. In this role, you will oversee the permitting process for gas utility construction projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely approvals. This is a long-term contract position ideal for individuals who thrive in detail-oriented and collaborative environments.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and submit permit applications for construction activities, including mainline installations, service connections, railroad crossings, and restoration projects.
• Coordinate closely with city, county, and state agencies to secure necessary approvals and resolve permitting issues.
• Monitor the status of permits, ensuring timely renewals, extensions, and close-out documentation.
• Analyze permitting conditions and regulations to ensure full compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to provide accurate and up-to-date documentation.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all permitting documents, correspondence, and related files.
• Assist with audits and inspections by providing necessary documentation and resolving any permit-related challenges.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and site visits to address permitting requirements and project concerns.
Requirements • Proven experience in document control and management, particularly in construction or utility projects.
• Proficiency in scanning, compiling, and organizing documents for regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of building permits and the permitting process.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with permitting authorities and internal teams.
• Detail-oriented mindset for tracking permit statuses and maintaining organized records.
• Ability to interpret regulations and ensure adherence to permitting conditions.
• Familiarity with audits, inspections, and resolving compliance issues.
