JOB DESCRIPTION

Performs technical functions in the Standards Enforcement and Advocacy Division and serves as Section Chief of the Enforcement Section, provides legal opinion/advice and assistance; and does other related functions.

Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the operations of the Enforcement Section;

2. Leads the Review Committee Secretariat;

3. Acts on documents that require legal advice and technical assistance;

4. Provides legal assistance/advice to the Bureau and Division along regulatory functions and services;

5. Recommends legal measures for continuously operating unregistered and unlicensed and erring SWDAs; and conducting solicitation without permit;

6. Acts as a Resource Person;

7. Acts as the Bureau Compliance Officer for Privacy;

8. Attends Inter-Office and Inter-Agency meetings and other activities along regulatory services;

9. Institutes/conducts and/or assists in investigations, recommends actions on administrative cases and manages hard to handle cases of reported alleged complaints against SWDAs;

10. Establishes coordination and networking with concerned government agencies on the enforcement and monitoring of the existing laws/policies on regulatory services;

11. Prepares documents related to enforcement and other legal documents pertaining to the regulatory functions and services of the Standards Bureau; and

12. Performs other related tasks as may be assigned.

Job Outputs:

1. Correspondences or memorandum providing legal advice and technical assistance endorsed by the Bureau Director and other Divisions of the Standards Bureau;

2. Legal assistance/advice to the Bureau relative to regulatory functions/services;

3. Technical reports such as but not limited to legal opinion, resolutions, affidavit and among others;

4. Feedback Reports as designated Compliance Officers for Privacy;

5. Review Committee Reports; and

6. Technical Reports.
