Marsh has a fantastic opportunity for a to join our team in the Johannesburg office.

The position offers an exciting challenge and career opportunity for someone with a couple of years’ experience within Short Term insurance looking to join an established broking team within an market leading insurance broker.

This is a full time role and you must be able to attend the office a minimum of 3 days a week.

We will rely on you to:

Provide Broking Services.Attend strategy meetings and/or renewal meetings.Preparation / Finalisation of Broking documentation.Identification and selection of appropriate markets.Distribution of Broking Notes to the market.Negotiating with Markets for best deals.Implementation of placement strategy on high complexity accounts.Collation of market terms and quotes for submission to client services.Preparation / Finalisation of Placing Slips.Closings to markets / obtaining market confirmation of cover.Confirm final placement / changes and Endorsements.Work with the Operations team to issue accurate policy schedules.Preparation of other broking documentation as required.

What you need to have: 

Demonstrable experience in short term insurance and/or commercial and/or corporate insurance broking.FAIS and CPD compliantKnowledge of the principles of risk managementCertificate in Insurance or commenced studying towards AIISA an advantageInsurer relationships an advantageAdvanced knowledge of Word, Excel and OutlookConversant with insurance legislationExcellent communications skills - English and local language verbal and written.
