Perioperative Supply Coordinator
Position Summary Directs the Supply Chain operations in Surgical Services through active involvement in the daily operations of the OR supply chain. Facilitates the sourcing, procurement, storage, and distribution of all supplies utilized within the Surgical Services Department to ensure adequate levels of supplies for surgical procedures based on specialty and volume. Additionally, this positon will act as a liaison between the Supply Chain Services Department and the Surgical Services Department. Primary Position Responsibilities + Implement processes and controls for the sound management of inventory within Surgical Services. + Works collaboratively to identify/implement cost savings initiatives. Implements and maintains a successful consignment inventory program. + Utilizes the Supply Chain components of the ERP system for the Surgical Services Department, including participating in evaluations of data integrity. + Collaborates with Surgical Services Staff, Physicians, Supply Chain colleagues, and vendors to promote and demonstrate leading practice inventory control principles. + Implements and maintains successful purchase order processes for Surgical Services. + Acts as tissue receiving manager. Reconciles Tissue Tracking System inventory monthly and communicates discrepancies to the Surgical Services and Supply Chain Services Directors, or designee’s. Qualifications Minimum Education: Required: High School Diploma Preferred: BA Business, Certificate and/or Advanced Specialized or Technical Training in Surgical Speciality or Materials Management Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation): Required: 1 year of Healthcare Supply Chain experience in OR supply chain management, inventory control, purchasing Preferred: 5 years of Healthcare Supply Chain experience in OR supply chain management, inventory control, purchasing License, Registry or Certification: Required: None Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Required: Knowledge of OR supplies and services, Strong analytical computer skills, spreadsheets in Excel or access.
