Periop Services Specialist at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. This position is Full-Time and will work 8-hour Day shifts.
Reporting to the Administrative Surgical Coordinator, this position is responsible for maintaining records for the operating room area. Specific areas of responsibility include: general clerical duties, compiling and maintaining records regarding procedures and other statistics and reports for the department, entering post case data, completion of surgical charges. There will also be some involvement in surgery scheduling and working with vendors.

Required qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or related field. Or equivalent educ/experience.1 year Perioperative service experience.1 year Experience in medical supply inventory.1 year Experience in a clinical, health information or analysis position in a healthcare setting, or acute care.1 year Communicating fluently (speaking and writing).1 year Using medical terminology.1 year Using general knowledge of surgical anatomy, physiology and operative procedures.1 year Experience in medical supply inventory.1 year Computer use:Using Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel Performing basic keyboard/typing.Performing computerized data entry for operating rooms or procedure area within medical setting.1 year Defining problems, collecting data, and testing conclusions.Preferred qualifications:
EPIC experience.
