Performance Specialist

If so, lets talk. **Your role and responsibilities** As an IBM Z Ecosystem Performance Specialist, you are passionate about staying current on the latest technology developments and trends. You will play an instrumental role in helping shape and optimize a new IBM Z Performance Benchmark Center for client engagements based in Sofia. In this role, you will analyze, recommend, design, and implement test components for the client benchmarking engagements. In addition, your responsibilities include the following: * Co-design the software components of the performance tests in collaboration with the Technical Project Leader and WW leaders * Implement design and automate test components * Execute benchmark test cases * Analyze and document test results **Required technical and professional expertise** Technical skills and product experience: * Experience with testing products such as jmeter or k6 * Good level of z/OS and Linux understanding * Performance tests and tuning of Db2 and other traditional z/OS products * Or Db2 LUW, WAS, and other IBM middleware products on Linux on Z General skills: * Quick learner who continuously acquires new expertise and possess problem-solving skills * Fluent English proficiency and good communication skills * The ability to work productively across the infrastructure (operations), development, and product teams * Agile development methodology and tools * Applied knowledge of performance engineering principles **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Familiar with both z/OS and Linux on Z * Experience with z/VM and KVM hypervisors on Z * Experience with testing performance of containerized workloads on Red Hat OpenShift IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
