Performance Improvement Coordinator - Total Quality Management - 40 Hours - Days

Shift: Days 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. No weekends.
GENERAL SUMMARY: Organizes and coordinates performance improvement program activities and workflow.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures.
Researches, develops/acquires and implements improvement systems, methodologies and tools to improve operations.
Collaborates with Leaders to develop and revise screening indicators.
Provides on-site training and follow-up for performance improvement teams.
Performs regulatory documentation preparation, submission, and maintenance. Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Assists in policy, procedure and contract review process. Coordinates quality improvement initiatives.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Nursing degree highly preferred.3-5 years of acute care hospital experience. Previous Med/Surg ortho experience a plus. Previous experience working with BCBS Pay for Performance CQIs a plus. Experience working within MARCQI collaborative a plus. Previous project management/quality improvement experience preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft office and comfortable with data analysis and presenting to medical staff leaders and administration.CERTIFICATION/LICENSES REQUIRED:
BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES PREFERRED:
