CTG is seeking to fill a Performance Engineer (Application Architect/Java & Web Technologies) opening for our client. Location: Atlanta, GA or Dallas, TX Duration: Ongoing contract Duties: Provide design and implementation of performance scripts for web applications, APIs, and microservices. Perform performance testing including stress testing, disaster recovery (DR) testing, scalability, and reliability validation. Develop, execute, and analyze performance test results using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, and custom Python scripting. Work with ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack to capture, monitor, and analyze performance metrics. Collaborate with development, architecture, and operations teams to identify and resolve system bottlenecks. Lead as the single point of contact for performance-related initiatives, handling technical queries and guiding team members. Provide recommendations for performance optimization and architectural improvements in Java and web-based applications. Ensure best practices and standards are followed in performance engineering activities. Skills: Strong expertise in Java and web technologies. Proficiency with JMeter, LoadRunner, and custom Python scripting. Experience with ELK stack for monitoring and analysis. Hands-on experience in performance engineering within the Telecom domain. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Leadership ability to guide a team and act as the main technical point of contact. Experience: Proven track record in designing and implementing performance tests for complex systems. Experience in stress testing, load testing, and disaster recovery testing. Strong background in Telecom industry applications preferred. Previous experience leading or mentoring team members in performance engineering efforts. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
