The Opportunity:
You'll dissect and understand factors influencing our rollingstock fleet's performance. Moving beyond "what happened," you'll uncover "why it happened," providing critical insights that drive strategic decisions, operational improvements and commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Attribution Models: Design and maintain models to understand rollingstock performance based on maintenance, uptime, reliability, and utilisation. Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyse large datasets (faults, maintenance, operations, KPIs) to identify performance drivers. Quantify Impact: Measure the financial and operational impact of various factors against benchmarks. Strategic Insights: Translate findings into actionable recommendations for improving asset reliability, reducing costs, and optimising maintenance. Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and commercial teams.About You:
Tertiary qualification in a quantitative field (Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Maths, Finance, or related). Proven experience and passion in data analysis, performance analysis, or BI. Strong analytical understanding and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. You like to understand the outcome by which you seek to communicate and understand all the key stakeholders within the task. A proactive and curious mindset. Experience in rail is desired or a transport, or heavy industrial sectors is a plus.What We Offer:
