Per diem - Occupational Therapist (Pediatrics)

Evaluates, plans, directs and administers individualized therapeutic treatment programs aimed at the restoration or improvement of function, or the prevention of disability. Writes evaluations, progress notes/reports, discharge summaries and maintains patient files. Counsels patients and/or family members regarding Rehabilitation diagnosis, plan of care and prognosis. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory/legislative policies as they apply to the profession of Occupational Therapy and adheres to same.

Graduate of Accredited Occupational Therapy Program, Current NJ State License in Occupational Therapy. CPR certification within first 3 months of hire. FIM (Functional Independence Measure) certification required for Wayne employees only and to be taken following employment and training and then certification must be taken through the rehab program (Uniform Data System for Medical Rehab-UDSMR). If working with EIP, a valid driver's license with no pending violations and an acceptable driving record as stipulated by SJH policy and, if applicable, the insurance carrier, for those required to drive a hospital vehicle.

Effective January 2019, St. Joseph’s Health requires all employee certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association.
