Function/Duties of PositionClinical Activities (not related to teaching or research):
Practice that emanates from the School of Nursing is expected to support the teaching and research missions of the School. In the practice environment, teaching occurs concurrently with clinical activities. Specific duties include: Provide supplementary coverage of labor and delivery call when the permanent faculty are ill, in retreat, traveling professionally, on vacation or on leave. The primary expectation is the provision of clinical midwifery services to patients in the faculty practice during both day and night shifts.Scholarly Activities (research/writing, abstracts, grant supported work, presentations, etc.):

Clinical education and supervision of graduate nurse-midwifery students in the provision of the services to patients in faculty practices. Midwifery students are with on call faculty 90% of the time. Faculty in the doctoral program supervises students in dissertation and/or clinical inquiry projects.Service Activities:
These activities could include faculty meetings, committee membership, professional activities and other responsibilities as assigned by the Program or Academic Director.Administrative Activities:

Instructor: MSN or equivalentAssistant Professor: PhD/DNP or equivalent
Registrations, Certifications and/or Licenses (Current licensure & certifications could be required depending on position and academic program.):
Oregon RN license, Oregon APRN licenseBLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)Other: NRP, AMCB CertificationExperience (Experience dependent on academic program type and rank of position.):
