Job DescriptionIn this role, you will lead a team of People Services (‘PS’) Specialists who focus on delivering exceptional associate experiences through the delivery of various HR transactional activities and business processes. The team delivers service and support in our HCM system Workday and is responsible for administering and maintaining HR data accuracy in the HCM system at all times. The PS Data Admin team Supervisor must possess strong HR generalist knowledge, as well as advanced technical knowledge in Workday, and be equipped to manage complex transactional activity. You will lead a team of several People Services Specialists ensuring the team has the knowledge and tools needed to successfully execute and consistently improve. This job prepares you for further growth in your HR career. You’ll gain experience deepening your technical knowledge in HR operations and working across the HR community within the company. You’ll also expand on your experience leading others – including hiring, coaching, and developing members of the People Services – Data Administration team.
Position location: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield, IL. Effective mid-2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world-class campus in Deerfield, bringing together associates from across our U.S. offices, brands, and functions. The campus will offer vibrant workspaces for collaboration, along with amenities for dining, onsite daycare, fitness and recreation.
Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day management of People Services Specialists in meeting their KPIs.Create, maintain, and train on HR standard business processes, job aids & standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistent associate experience & efficient operationsMonitor team performance to ensure a consistent positive associate experience. When opportunities for improvement arise, provide feedback & coaching to People Services Specialists and/or update the appropriate process documentationDevelop and manage an HR data management/governance process including design of audit reports, delegation of owners to perform and manage audits and leading the monthly audit meeting cadence and agenda. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for back-office operations in conjunction with broader HR Operations teamHire, coach, and develop People Services Specialists to advance in their HR careers Serve as a point of contact for internal & external customers, providing exceptional customer service in addressing questions and concerns in person, over the phone, and onlineSupport managers and associates effectively in how to use our direct access tools like Front Door and WorkdaySupport the HR community with special projects across various HR specialtiesQualifications3-5 years of expanding responsibility experience in HR, HR Operations / shared services, or HR Technology1-2 years minimum as a people manager with demonstrated ability to effectively lead others – including providing coaching, feedback and developmentExperience working with HRIS systems, preferably WorkdayProficient in the Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and cloud-based filesharing platforms (Box, SmartSheet)Demonstrated ability to design and improve HR business processesDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization and external customersAbility to set and adjust priorities for self and teamBachelor’s Degree in HR or related fieldExperience with case management systems and processes such as ServiceNow, Workday Help, or Jira Service ManagementAdditional InformationAdditional Information:
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $70,000 USD - $110,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
