We’re seeking a highly skilled and emotionally intelligent People Relations Labour Lawyer with deep expertise in European labour laws and a strong grasp of emerging labour trends. You’ll bring proven experience working with European Works Councils (EWC) and confidently navigate complex legal frameworks while maintaining clear, effective communication with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of European Union directives and cross-border employment regulations.Provide expert advice on global work environment trends and challenges.Advise on labour relations, collective bargaining, and trade union negotiations, particularly in multinational environments.Support and guide the company’s European Works Council (EWC) engagements, including agenda setting, meeting coordination, compliance, and employee representative relations.Monitor and interpret evolving labour market trends across Europe to anticipate regulatory changes and advise on strategic responses.Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, separation agreements, and HR documentation in compliance with global.Manage internal investigations and dispute resolution and represent the company in labour litigation or alternative dispute resolution (ADR) settings if needed.Deliver training and guidance to HR, management, and staff on legal obligations, workplace rights, and compliance best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, Compliance, and Operations to develop consistent employment strategies across the organization.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international employment trends including remote work laws, gig economy issues, diversity and inclusion and mental health regulation in the workplace.WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

Experience working within or advising large, complex, matrixed multinational corporations or global law firms.Understanding of labour laws in key EU countries such as Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands.Familiarity with digital tools supporting labour law compliance (e.g., HRIS, legal tech platforms).Passion for labour rights, fair employment practices, and inclusive workplaces.
