JOB PURPOSE:
To lead and implement strategic people and organizational development initiatives that align with Heineken’s business goals in PNG and Solomon Islands. This includes workforce planning, performance management, talent development, and cultural transformation to support a high-performing, inclusive, and future-ready organization.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
People and Organizational Development
Provide information and support People Director in providing organization design strategies for OpCo restructure and ensure job descriptions are updated timely. Lead the Strategic Workforce Planning (SWFP) process, including People Reviews, Succession Planning, and People Reviews. Monitor the results of the annual climate survey and support action plans. Monitor and maintain effective training plans and manage development programs linked to training needs to cater to the organizations’ development. Apply the HPO (High Performance Organization) model and Heineken’s People Function Competency Framework to build future-fit capabilities. Provide training solutions for the gaps identified and facilitate through the training calendar. Identify and develop people for key positions. Partner with senior leaders, People Business Partners, and external vendors to co-create and deliver POD strategies.
HR Systems and Policies
Ensure HR systems are managed, and employees are developed to use the system efficiently on time. Plan departmental/functional training budgets, forecast costs and delegate numbers as required by organizational planning and budgeting systems.Employer Branding
Proactively participating in career fairs with HR Business Partners to facilitate the recruitment strategy and promote branding. Building and maintaining strong links with recruitment agencies and other sources specialized in the industry. Maintaining close contact with HR Business Partners to ensure that the recruitment of key/senior positions meets customer demand and the strategic direction of South Pacific Brewery and Solomon Brewery and the recruitment is prioritized and mapped to demand.Performance Management
Lead and embed the performance management cycle at South Pacific Brewery and Solomon Breweries. Deliver leadership upskilling programs and support succession pipelines. Collaborate with teams to define talent and succession planning strategy, development & learning strategy, Training & Development plans Build and implement a Learning & Development (L&D) strategy aligned with business needs and local market dynamics. Manage the quality of employee mid-year and year-end performance reviews. Ensure continuous performance dialogues are carried out by the BPs with the divisional employees. Collaborate with Functional Academies and global learning platforms to deliver capability development.
Corporate People Initiatives
Communicate Corporate People initiatives to the management and employees. Champion Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) and wellbeing initiatives across the cluster. Ensure that the objectives of the Corporate People initiatives are supported and achieved at the local level. Company-wide employee engagement activities across Cluster OpCo. Ensure the engagement calendars are set out and the work with the culture committee to roll out same. Ensure compliance with global HR standards, policies, and governance frameworks.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
University degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or related field. 5–8 years of experience in HR, OD, or Talent roles, preferably in FMCG or multinational environments. Experience working across diverse cultures and geographies is a plus. Deep understanding of HR strategy, talent management, organizational design, and change leadership. Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
