Jacobs is searching for a dynamic People Operations Partner to join our team in El Segundo, CA. In this role, you'll advise people leaders, operations management and colleagues on key people-related initiatives including workforce planning and talent acquisition/mobility, compensation, change management, retention, engagement, employee relations and legal challenges. You will advocate for our people when they face adversity in their work environment, collaborating with leadership to find solutions. Additionally, your attention to detail will help you impact leadership decisions and proactively identify organizational issues through reporting and metrics. You will support people leaders and operations management as they implement and enforce human resources policies and procedures to ensure consistency, compliance and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities & Duties
• Provide advisory and consultative services to business leaders on people-related issues.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of operational unit business strategy, ensuring alignment with people strategies to achieve business goals.
• Draw upon the greater HR organization to ensure that the right mix of services, expertise, and solutions are available to meet business needs.
• Participate in the development of a workforce plan designed to enable the business unit to achieve its’ objectives.
• Focus on providing consultative advice and solution delivery to senior line management.
• Participate in the development and delivery of solutions that address the business’s biggest challenges and key priorities.
• Challenge the business to ensure alignment and integration with people priorities.
• Coach line managers in best-in-class people management.
• Ensure effective execution of HR policies processes within the business.

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, or closely related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive HR experience with proficiency in generalist HR functions such as employee relations, employment law, employee engagement, compensation, performance management, training and development and recruitment.
• Demonstrated human resource experience with success in creating and driving effective initiatives.
• Proven ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization to inspire trust and confidence among a diverse set of stakeholders.
• Thorough critical thinking and problem-solving skills; demonstrated by the ability to analyze data, understand trends, and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis.
• Demonstrated commitment to workforce diversity and inclusion.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
The work area can involve a working environment indoors, as well as, outdoors, which could cause exposure to outdoor elements; proper environmental attire will be required. Some areas can have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, airborne particles, noxious gases, pathogens and various chemicals. Safety is of the utmost importance. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, twist and bend at the waist, turn, kneel, squat, raise arms above shoulder height, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements and fine coordination when preparing reports and using a computer keyboard, have vision sufficient to read computer screens, printed documents and operate office equipment, have hearing in the normal range with or without correction. In an 8-hour time period must be able to transport self across the facility, ascend and descend stair steps, lift objects up to 50 pounds from floor level to waist height, wear and use appropriate safety equipment.

The employee may work on slippery/uneven surfaces, around machinery with moving parts, moving objects/vehicles, and ladder/scaffolding, below ground and may be exposed to water and other liquid materials.
