The Role: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented People Generalist to join our People team. This role plays a vital part in supporting the full employee lifecycle, championing an exceptional employee experience, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our HR systems and operations. You’ll partner across teams to support and guide employees, deliver key HR processes with care and precision, and help drive a positive, high-performing workplace experience at Tinder.
Where you’ll work:This is a hybrid role requiring in-office collaboration three days per week in Los Angeles, CA.Employee Lifecycle SupportOnboarding: Lead a smooth onboarding experience, including pre-boarding communications, I-9 compliance, welcome gifts, scheduling onboarding sessions, and coordinating new hire announcements.Orientation: Partner with Talent Development to deliver a consistent, welcoming, and informative orientation for all new hires.Offboarding: Manage offboarding process and logistics including administration of final paychecks, conducting exit interviews, and data tracking/reporting in collaboration with the People Business Partners.Employee Support & Policy GuidanceServe as the go-to contact for employee questions related to HR policies, benefits, payroll, and general inquiries.Liaise with internal teams to resolve employee needs promptly and accurately.Coordinate with employees, business leaders, and MG stakeholders to facilitate work abroad and extended PTO requests, ensuring appropriate approvals and compliance.HR Systems, Data & ReportingMaintain key platforms including the People team inbox, pre-boarding communication tools, and the Rewards & Recognition platform.Ensure accurate, up-to-date employee records in Workday, including job changes, compensation updates, location and manager changes, and terminations.Partner with payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing.Support People leadership with reporting and insights on workforce trends.Collaborate with People Operations to improve tools and workflows that enhance employee experience.Employee Relations & Administrative SupportAssist People Business Partners with employee relations matters, including intake facilitation and documentation, and providing support during sensitive conversations.Administer the severance process including agreement distribution, stakeholder communication, and payment coordination.Vendor & Budget CoordinationManage vendor relationships, contracts, and invoicing for the People team, collaborating closely with Finance, Legal, and other cross-functional partners.Culture & Engagement InitiativesCollaborate with the Workplace Experience team on key cultural initiatives and events, including hackathons, Global Onsite Week, and company-wide celebrations.You'll Need:3–5 years of experience in an People Generalist or similar roleSolid understanding of HR practices, employment law, and complianceExperience with an HRIS, preferably WorkdayClear, empathetic communication and strong interpersonal skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in Google Workspace and HR-related toolsAs a full-time employee, you’ll enjoy:Unlimited PTO (with no waiting period), 10 annual Wellness DaysTime off to volunteer and charitable donations matching Comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage100% 401(k) employer match up to 10%, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)100% paid parental leave (including for non-birthing parents), family forming benefits, and Milk Stork, which provides access to breast milk shipping for business travel, surrogacy, and employee relocationInvestment in your development: mentorship through our MentorMatch program, access to 6,000+ online courses through Udemy, and an annual stipend for your professional developmentInvestment in your wellness: access to mental health support via Modern Health, and Insight Timer; paid concierge medical membership, pet insurance, fitness membership subsidy, and commuter subsidyFree premium subscriptions for several Match Group apps – including Tinder Platinum!$100,000 - $115,000 a yearThe salary range for this position is $100,000-$115,000 Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.
