We are seeking a People & Culture Intern (Human Resources) an exciting opportunity to be part of Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Nashville!
About the role
This position is going to be dedicated to enhancing the overall employee experience by focusing on wellbeing, enrichment, and recognition initiatives across the company. This position plays a crucial role in fostering a positive and engaging work environment where employees feel valued, celebrated, and motivated. Your role is to ensure that the employee journey is always exciting from onboarding to day to day activities.
What you will do
Wellness Programs:-Develop and implement various wellness initiatives aimed at promoting physical, mental, and emotional wellness among employees. This may include organizing yoga sessions, meditation classes, wellness challenges, and access to wellness resources.
Engagement:- Curate a range of enrichment activities designed to engage and inspire employees. This could involve organizing workshops, seminars, and skill-building sessions on topics such as personal development, career advancement, and work-life balance.
- Coordinate memorable birthday celebrations for employees to make them feel special and appreciated. Organize personalized surprises, arranging group celebrations, or providing small tokens of appreciation.
Recognition:- Establish and manage employee recognition programs to acknowledge and reward outstanding performance, dedication, and contributions. This could include employee of the month awards, peer recognition programs, and appreciation events.
Communication:-Foster open communication and strong employee engagement by regularly seeking feedback, listening to employee concerns, and communicating company initiatives effectively. Working closely with the General Manager on our "Direct Line". Act as a liaison between employees and management to ensure that employee voices are heard and addressed.
Collaboration and Team Building:-Collaborate with other departments and teams to organize team-building activities, social events, and community service projects that promote camaraderie, collaboration, and a sense of belonging among our FS employees.
Administrative Management-Keep track of the expenses of the assigned budget.
-The ability to elaborate purchasing orders
-To provide support to the annual budget staffing process
What you bring-Previous HR experience in similar positions (Hospitality industry is a plus)
-Outgoing personality.
-Meticulous attention to detail with a track record of accuracy and organization
-Ability to work within ambiguity, be a problem-solver and take initiative
-Self-starter and fast learner requiring minimal direction
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare and deliver reports
-Apply an ethical approach to the outcome of situations
-Plan and monitor duties to ensure effective and efficient use of all available resources in order to make the greatest impact on the Hotel’s/Resort’s objectives
-Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with peers, superiors and clients.
-Demonstrate the ability to multi-task
-Ability to operate CANVA, Microsoft 360.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare and deliver reports, English proficiency.
