**Job Title: People and Culture Coordinator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated People and Culture Coordinator to be the face of HR for hourly employees. This role involves managing various HR processes, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and supporting a smooth onboarding experience. The coordinator will work closely with team members and management, providing essential HR support and fostering a positive work environment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Process all status changes and new hires promptly to ensure 100% legal compliance.
+ Initiate new hire paperwork for hourly employees, run E-Verify background checks, and enter data into the Paylocity system.
+ Maintain all active and inactive personnel files and I-9 files as well as other confidential company files.
+ Respond to employment verifications, unemployment claims, and disability claims.
+ Serve as the point person for worker’s compensation, file claims, and coordinate with the worker’s compensation provider and injured employees.
+ Maintain the OSHA Log and complete the annual summary report for posting.
+ Provide basic HR support, including explaining and interpreting HR policies and answering new hire questions.
+ Assist in administering benefits for hourly employees through Ease and T. Rowe Price.
+ Provide general administrative support including ordering supplies, photo-copying, arranging meetings, etc.
+ Maintain Communications Boards at RIPC and URDC.
+ Greet and check in visitors who arrive at the RIPC, ensuring they sign GMP policies.
+ Provide support for special occasions and meetings.
+ Ensure both office facilities are well stocked.
+ Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficient in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
+ Capability to utilize technology tools including document preparation, spreadsheet development, and research.
+ Financial acumen to manage small budgets, set-up and manage spreadsheets, and track basic HR metrics.
+ Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
+ Strong project management skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with Paylocity or ADP is a plus.
+ Spanish language proficiency is required.
+ Willingness to learn CA and Federal Employment Laws.
+ Ability to engage with people from different backgrounds and build productive relationships.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

**Work Environment**

The work schedule is Monday to Thursday on-site from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with Fridays as work-from-home days.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
