Purpose

The Pediatric Mental Health Clinical Support Supervisor will supervise a team of mental health care coordinators and clinical operations support staff working on the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT) program. The purpose of this position is to supervise and support the team that helps children and families navigate through the TCHATT program from referral to discharge. The candidate will work within a team of internal and external stakeholders to coordinate core functions of the program, assist in connecting to providers in the community for long-term care, if needed, and should possess the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and to work independently and in collaboration with others. This position has an end date of 8/31/2026, but may be renewable based upon availability of funding, work performance, and progress toward goals. Funding is expected to continue.

Responsibilities

Recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates a team of care coordinators and clinical operations support staff.

Oversees all phases of care coordination, including referral intake, patient enrollment, scheduling, and linkage to long-term community resources.

Provides clinical supervision, evaluates diagnostic impressions, and conducts therapy sessions under LPC-S or LCSW-S supervision.

Collaborates closely with schools, TCHATT providers, and families to ensure continuity of care and high satisfaction.

Leads program administration efforts including workflows, medical records management, and scheduling systems.

Develops, implements, and audits policies, procedures, training materials, and dashboards to drive operational efficiency.

Coordinates internal/external communications related to clinical services, discharge planning, and school collaboration.

Conducts compliance audits and risk mitigation, escalating issues and recommending corrective actions as needed.

Required QualificationsMaster’s degree and be certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Associate or Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) in the state of Texas.Three (3) years of professional experience working in a health care or educational (preferably K-12) setting.Excellent oral and written communications skills.Experience working in a multidisciplinary setting.Proficient in Google Suite or other comparable office computer software package.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of managed care, medical terminology, patient referral process, claims, and CPT coding.Experience working with pediatric behavioral and mental health patient populations.Knowledge of educational practices supporting mental health and social emotional learning in K-12 settings.Experience developing, refining, and evaluating patient care plans or student education plans, and developing and delivering status reports. Experience working in one or more electronic medical records platforms.Ability to prioritize, plan, and handle multiple tasks/demands simultaneously.Bilingual (English/Spanish) language proficiency.
 Salary Range

$62,000 + depending on qualifications

This is a full-time position; hybrid work is expected with limited on-site work.
