About the Role:
BrightStar Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled LPN or RN for a rewarding pediatric home health opportunity. You will provide one-on-one care to a 3-year-old child with Down syndrome, requiring G-tube support, medication administration, and assistance with ADLs. This client does present challenging behaviors, so we are looking for someone patient, hands-on, and engaging.

 

Schedule:
Alternates weekly:

Week A: 3 days/week (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM)

Week B: 2 days/week (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM)

Optional weekend respite hours available (e.g., date nights for family)

 

Pay and Benefits:

Hourly Pay: $30.00 to $45.00 (based on licensure and experience)

Responsibilities:

Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care as per Plan of Care

Administer medications and G-tube feedings

Monitor and document changes in client condition

Communicate with family and clinical supervisors

Support daily ADLs and engage meaningfully with the child

 

Requirements:

Active LPN or RN license (NC or Multi-State Compact)

BLS Certification (Required)

1+ year of nursing experience (home health preferred)

Experience with:

G-tube care (Required)

Trach care (Required)

Wound care (Preferred)

Medication administration (Required)

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform full range of motion required in caregiving

 

Preferred Experience:

Home Care or Home Health: 1 year

Pediatric Care: Highly preferred
