Required:

Long Term Care Facility Nursing Assistant certificationPlacement on the NJ Nurse Aide RegistryAHA BLS Provider CertificationBasic computer skillsInterpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others

Preferred:

6 months experience

Scheduling Requirements:

Minimum 2 shifts per month , one weekend day and 1 Summer and 1 Winter HolidayPer DiemEvening Shift

Essential Functions:

Provides direct personal care of patients as directed by nurse and patient care planBedside carry-over for all patient assignments and answering call lights for all patients on the unit in a timely mannerRecognizes and respects patient and family needs providing a comfortable culturally sensitive environment for carePerforms designated unit duties such as, but not limited to, restocking supplies at patient bedside, replacing suction bottles and maintaining order on the unitAssists with laundry upon requestAnswers telephone and relays messages when necessaryPerforms all duties with a customer service focus
