PDS Analytical Development Research Analyst
**Work Schedule** Standard (Mon-Fri) **Environmental Conditions** Laboratory Setting, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.) **Job Description** **Job Responsibilities** Join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. to contribute to top projects in IT. + Apply and control laboratory equipment to ensure flawless operations. + Analyze raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products using appropriate analytical methods, reporting any anomalies promptly. + Conduct physical (appearance, pH, osmolality, KF, etc.), biochemical (ELISA, PAGE, Western Blot, capillary electrophoresis, etc.), and chromatographic analyses on small and large molecules (peptides, proteins, enzymes, antibodies, nucleic acids). + Perform instrumental tests, maintain equipment according to analytical methods, and accurately record parameters/results acquired. + Prepare reagents and standard substances, performing quality controls as per SOPs/methodologies. + Maintain materials in good condition for analytical use, ensuring accurate storage conditions as detailed. + Draft and compile laboratory documentation (e.g., notebooks, registers) and review produced data. + Evaluate materials for analytical activities and prepare purchase requests if designated. + Care for instruments, materials, and the work environment, reporting anomalies promptly. + Follow company procedures for waste and scrap collection from laboratory activities. + Support activities such as reagent, standard, and chromatographic column management, thermal system monitoring, material reception, external laboratory instrument qualification/maintenance support, stability study sampling, and document delivery/collection for analytical activities. + Complete process controls on development batches according to laboratory scheduling. **Job Requirements** To successfully implement and excel in this role, you should have: + Proven experience in laboratory equipment management and analysis. + Outstanding skills in physical, biochemical, and chromatographic analysis. + Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of documentation. + Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse and inclusive environment. + Strict adherence to company procedures and safety protocols.
