Job Overview:
The Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory treatments and therapies according to physician order and guidelines of the Respiratory Care Licensure Act.

Performs patient assessment pre, during, and post procedure for all ages groups including pediatric, adult, and geriatricDemonstrates competency in assessment based on patient age, as well as physical and emotional growthDemonstrates competence with all respiratory modalities and equipmentPerforms maintenance and quality control procedures for pulmonary function testing and blood analyzersPerforms invasive procedures according to hospital and departmental guidelines, and endorses all critical resultsFollows disinfection and sterilization proceduresDemonstrates knowledge of ventilation modes, weaning, and safety procedures for all age groupsCommunicates effectively with staff, physicians, clinical personnel, patients, and visitorsAssumes role of Charge Person when indicated according to department guidelinesCompletes departmental documentation and charges by the shift endBenefits and Perks:
