Job Overview:
The Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse who provides health care to infants and children.
In collaboration with the Hospitalist Physician the NP has daily responsibility for the assessment and management of patients in high and low acuity.
The Nurse Practitioner practices in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to provide a continuum of primary, acute and or subspecialty healthcare to their patients.
They enhance the quality of care through education and clinical practice utilizing advanced practice, knowledge and research.
Qualifications:
Required:
Education and experience in accordance with local, state and federal requirementsMasters degree in APP studies or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of clinical experienceStrong clinical and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesCertifications and Licenses Required:
Current licensure APRN, RN, CDS and DEACurrent NRP and BLS certification as required by specialty practiceCurrent prescriptive authority per state regulationClinical privileges at healthcare facilities as applicableCurrent APP license and certification from the National Commission on Certification of APPsScheduling Requirements:
