We have 59 licensed beds with sister units located at Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran Hospital. We serve a diverse group of patients with diagnosis that include: strokes, neurologic disorders, amputees, trauma, oncology, and patients needing rehabilitation after a major medical illness. All patients receive a minimum of three hours of therapy daily and 24 hour acute nursing and physician monitoring and management. We are CARF accredited and are passionate about getting our patients home and providing support and services needed for a safe and successful transition. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN. + Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients. + Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule. + Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service. + Team members under the age of 18 may not independently operate mechanical lift equipment. Qualifications License(s)/Certification(s): + CNA certification preferred + Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire. Other: + Must be 16 years old or older + Level 3 Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently , and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
