Job Description
As a PCR Analyst, you will perform routine testing and support various projects, focusing primarily on qPCR testing with samples. You will be part of an all-hands-on-deck team responsible for in-process testing of raw materials, and finished product testing. Your role will include contaminant monitoring, environmental monitoring, calibration and maintenance of instruments, inventory management, and reagent preparation. You will receive training in validation tasks involving centrifuges, spectrophotometers, liquid handler robots, software programming, lab space validation, and method drafting.
ResponsibilitiesPerform routine qPCR testing Conduct in-process testing on raw materials and finished product testing on biological powders.Extract RNA from tissue slurry samples and perform contaminant monitoring.Conduct positive control environmental monitoring, calibration, and maintenance of instruments.Manage inventory and prepare reagents.Validate centrifuges, spectrophotometers, and liquid handler robots as well as lab spaces and methods.Run speciation assays to identify and quantify different species within samples.Essential SkillsExperience with PCR, QC testing, method development, and quality control.Knowledge of GMP, biology, pharmaceutical processes, environmental monitoring, FDA regulations, molecular biology, microbiology, assay techniques, and laboratory practices.Bachelor's degree or above in Microbiology or related discipline preferred.Experience with qPCR software and instrumentation such as pipettes, centrifuges, micro balances, fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, and thermocyclers.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in PCR/Micro Lab preferred.Associate QC Analyst role requires no experience, but 2+ years preferred.QC Analyst role requires 2+ years with GMP; 5+ years preferred in molecular pharmaceutical/GMP settings.Sr QC Analyst role requires 5+ years with GMP; 10+ years preferred in molecular pharmaceutical experience and GMP.Work Environment
You will work in a brand new lab that opened in March 2025, on a 2nd shift from 12pm to 10pm, Wednesday to Saturday. The team consists of three members per shift, promoting a laid-back yet driven culture. The first week of training will be on the 1st shift, transitioning to your designated shift starting the second week.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $43.26/hr.
