Position Summary:

As a PCB Designer, you will play a hands-on role in the development of advanced power electronics systems. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to design printed circuit boards (PCBs) for AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC converters and inverters. These designs will support a wide range of military applications, including radar, RF communications, mission computing, battery charging, onboard power, and autonomous systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, quality-focused, and thrives in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

•\tCreate PCB layouts using industry-standard CAD software.

•\tDesign digital and analog circuits for power electronics applications.

•\tUse layout tools to position components and define electrical connectivity.

•\tPrepare fabrication and assembly documentation for suppliers.

•\tImplement test plans to ensure compliance with industry standards and reliability.

•\tRevise designs based on customer feedback and engineering specifications.

•\tCollaborate with engineers to produce drawings and support manufacturing processes.

•\tDevelop and maintain PCB design guidelines for internal and external use.

•\tCreate detailed specifications for manufacturing processes.

•\tWork on a variety of board types including multi-layer, high-power, and standard PCBs.

Required Qualifications:

•\tAssociate degree in electronics or related technical field, or 5–7 years of experience in the electrical industry.

•\tMinimum 5 years of experience in PCB layout and design.

•\tStrong understanding of electronic components and PCB design principles.

•\tProficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools such as PCAD, Altium, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.

•\tExperience with power topologies, thermal mitigation strategies, and control systems.

•\tAbility to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

•\tExperience designing for military or aerospace applications.

•\tFamiliarity with IPC standards and design for manufacturability (DFM).

•\tKnowledge of EMI/EMC considerations in PCB design.

•\tStrong documentation and communication skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
