Your New Role…

Join Warner Bros. Discovery as a dedicated Payroll Team Lead within the Global Business Services People and Culture Shared Services Payroll Operations Department. The Payroll Team Lead will be responsible for payroll operations for Poland for WBD/TVN entities, implementing best practices in payroll processes and driving payroll automation, process standardization and improved controls to ensure process effectiveness and efficiencies. The Payroll Team Lead should be committed to coaching payroll team members and leading special projects to ensure payroll excellence. Your Role Accountabilities…

Polish Payroll Operations Execution:

Develop, implement, and maintain procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing of payrolls for

Polish entities.

Ensure payroll service delivery is accurate, timely and aligned with service level agreements.

Payroll delivery for full-time employees and civil-law contractors.

Collaborate closely with P&C and internal stakeholders for precise and punctual payroll processing.

Supervising and payroll processing in TETA Payroll system - required.

Processing payroll payments to employees and statutory bodies (tax office, social security office,

PFRON, PPK etc.)

Preparation and submission of monthly and annual tax declarations to tax authorities (PIT-4, PIT-8AR,

PIT-11 etc.).

Supervising the process of posting payroll journals and accruals in the accounting system TETA and

Blackline, payroll reconciliations and cooperation with finance and accounting teams.

Leadership:

Develop, motivate and maintain a well-trained payroll operations team members.

Coach and mentor staff to ensure each person excels individually and as a team with a focus on customer service and operational excellence.

Compliance and Point of Contact:

Act as the primary contact for the TETA payroll system provider. Relations’ coordination and support in

implementing new solutions and wage codes required to payrolls,

Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and law rules.

Payroll processing delivery according to the payroll calendars,

Serve as the point of contact for Polish and international payroll operations, employee issues, benefits,

and inquiries related to payroll tools and processes.

Resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees, agencies, and other internal/external parties.

Manage ticket requests in the case management system and address other payroll related issues.

Analysis and Documentation:

Compile, analyze, and document issues related to payroll and fiscal activities to identify systemic problems.

Identify opportunities and contribute to implementing continuous improvements in payroll procedures.

Collaboration and Support:

Work closely with Legal, Finance and P&C to ensure payroll compliance.

Provide payroll reporting services to P&C, Finance, Accounting and Legal as needed.

Support internal audits in various payroll areas and prepare materials for external and internal auditors.

Qualifications & Experience…

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll operations or in a similar role, supporting Polish payroll

delivery while managing sensitive and confidential information is required. Experience in a shared service, large

multi-business unit organization is a plus.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent combination of work experience required. Payroll certificate in payroll/HR.

Language Requirements: Fluent Polish. English - Communicative Level (B1/B2) (nice to have)

Technical Skills: Experience with TETA system is required. Knowledge of Płatnik, ePUE ZUS portal, PFRON,

PPK. Workday HR – nice to have. Knowledge of Microsoft is required, particularly with MS Excel.

Relationship Management: Strong relationship skills. Experienced in building and maintaining effective

collaborations. Recognized for reliability, integrity, and trustworthiness.

Process Management: Solid knowledge of Polish payroll law & regulations and compensation practices (salary,

benefits, taxes, social sec. contributions, etc.) and statutory requirements for Poland, Skilled in process

management, improvements, and re-engineering. Ability to manage high volume activities on time, in a fast-

paced environment.

Organizational Skills: Excellent planning, time management, prioritization, and follow-up skills. Has strong

analytical skills and attention to detail.

Communication & Influence: Exceptional communication and customer service skills, capable of conveying

complex information clearly at all levels.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
