What You'll Do

We are looking for a highly experienced, detail-oriented and strategic Payroll Tax Manager. In addition to overseeing a small team, you will be responsible for maintaining compliance with all federal/state/local tax agencies. You will lead the W2 review and W2C process, handle tax agency notices, reconcile taxes each quarter and make corrections as needed. You will handle the multi-state custom process which includes wage sourcing every payroll run and incremental tax stipend payments.

Solid comprehension of US payroll tax laws and regulationsReconcile quarter and annual tax returns including 941’s, 940’s, state and local returnsEnsure that tax returns are filed in accordance with tax authoritiesIdentify errors in tax filings before being filed by ADP and amend as neededFull understanding of form W2/W2C including calculation, scenarios and filing requirementsAddress agency notices, identify needed actions and act upon themFull understanding of business traveler reporting rules for state taxation complianceMulti jurisdiction review to ensure accurate tax profile reportingFile monthly/quarterly tax and statistics reports as requiredAssist in IRS and state audits

What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or similarMinimum 5 years payroll tax experience with automated systemsPayroll tax background in a large employer, high volume, multi-state environment including reciprocal tax lawsSolid understanding of current tax lawsProficiency in Excel, PowerBI or Alteryx a plus

 

Candidates to be considered at the Manager or Senior Manager level, commensurate with experience

Compensation Information:

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.  

 

The base salary range for this role is $93,000-$137,000. 

 

This is an estimated range and specific base salaries within the range depend on factors such as office location, experience, and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.  

 

In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a discretionary bonus of up to 16% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
