Kforce has a client that is seeking a Payroll Tax Analyst in Clearwater, FL.
Duties Include:
* Process weekly and biweekly payrolls accurately and on time using a Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
* Ensure all time records are complete, accurate, and approved in accordance with payroll deadlines
* Review time submissions for proper managerial approval and escalate discrepancies as needed
* Maintain a clear audit trail for all manual adjustments in timekeeping and payroll systems
* Reconcile payroll transactions and prepare supporting documentation for financial reporting
* Regularly audit employee records to ensure only active employees are included in payroll runs
* Stay informed on system updates and participate in relevant training sessions
* Generate custom reports from the HRIS to support business needs
* Respond to employee inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues
* Assist with quarterly and year-end tax reconciliations and reporting
* Provide payroll data to support tax filings and compliance requirements
* Coordinate with relevant departments to manage employee overpayments
* Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data entry and maintenance in payroll systems
* Identify and implement process improvements in payroll operations, tax compliance, and recordkeeping
* Maintain transparency and communication with field teams regarding payroll matters
* Support management with personnel cost analysis and reporting
* Maximize the use of available HRIS tools to enhance payroll efficiency
* Manage vendor relationships related to payroll and benefits administration
* Develop and maintain documentation outlining payroll procedures and workflows
* Review external reports for accuracy and completeness
* Perform other duties as assigned
