Job Information
Maintain federal, state, and local tax accounts for multiple entities.
Research and resolve open payroll tax issues with third party tax provider.
Audit company level tax set ups to ensure correct account numbers, deposit frequency, filing frequency and rates.
Audit employee level tax set ups to ensure compliance with income tax withholding, unemployment reporting, etc.
Work closely with third party provider to coordinate payroll tax corrections and amendments through completion.
Accurately and timely submit manual payroll tax filings as needed.
Audit team members' data entry to ensure compliance with state tax guidelines.
Research and resolve payroll tax notices for multiple, multi-state tax entities.
Reconcile QTD and YTD tax withheld, reported, and deposited for multiple entities.
Responsible for the accurate documentation of payroll tax procedures.
Assist in year-end processes as required to ensure W-2 accuracy and compliance.
Assist with researching and resolving employee inquiries on taxation and W-2 inquiries.
Assist Payroll Accountant with reconciliations related to payroll tax.
Understand payroll tax requirements for federal, multi-state, and local jurisdictions
State Payroll Tax Apportionment
Recurring and intermittent data requests
Multiple Worksite Reporting
The Payroll Tax Analyst will be primarily responsible for ensuring payroll tax compliance and accuracy. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Serve as SME for payroll tax related inquiries and audits. Responsible for annual and monthly payroll reports.
Role & ResponsibilityPerform all listed duties including but not limited to the following:
Payroll Tax:
Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll tax related items including but not limited to:
Work closely with third party tax provider on tax filing reconciliation and payroll-related tax funding.Maintain federal, state, and local tax accounts for multiple entities.

Performs other duties and projects as assigned my management or as may be necessary.
Job Requirement Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Accounting related field. Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) and Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certifications preferred. Travel: <10% 5 - 7 years of related experience. Must have good knowledge of Excel and personal computer skills with excellent oral and written communications. Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and processes. Experience with payroll/tax systems ADP/Global View, Dayforce, computer software for updating and changing employee information. Proficient with MS Office Suite. Knowledge of payroll processing along with federal and state requirements.
