Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director
Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Supervisor, Manager, or Director to oversee comprehensive payroll operations at our office in Maple Valley, Washington. This role requires expertise in full-cycle payroll management, multi-state payroll processes, and union-specific payroll administration. You will play a critical role in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely execution for a dynamic team in the construction industry. Responsibilities: • Manage full-cycle payroll operations, including weekly union payroll and semi-monthly salaried payroll. • Handle multi-state payroll processes, ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations. • Prepare and file payroll-related tax documents such as 940s, 941s, W-2s, and 1099s. • Administer union returns and manage union and salaried employee benefits. • Process payroll deposits, garnishments, and direct deposit generation. • Oversee expense reimbursements related to vehicle travel and other business expenses. • Collaborate with HR to support onboarding and benefits administration tasks. • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting for tax payments and compliance. • Utilize payroll systems like Dataquest, Sage, and E-Verify to streamline operations. • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency. The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000. Benefits available with this position include medical, dental and vision; life and disability insurances; participation in the company’s 401(k) plan with a match and 15 days of paid vacation, 5 days of paid sick leave and 10 paid holidays per calendar year Requirements • Proven experience in full-cycle payroll management, including union and multi-state payroll. • Strong knowledge of payroll tax filings and compliance requirements. • Proficiency in payroll systems such as Dataquest, Sage (formerly Timberline), and E-Verify. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments. • Familiarity with benefits administration and onboarding processes. • Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
