Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing support to employees regarding payroll inquiries. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a high degree of confidentiality, and experience working with payroll systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Process and review bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy in wages, overtime, deductions, and garnishments.Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and pay adjustments.Verify timekeeping data for accuracy and follow up on discrepancies.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and tax regulations.Prepare and distribute payroll reports for HR and Finance teams.Support annual reporting, including W-2s and other payroll-related filings.Respond promptly to employee payroll inquiries with a high level of customer service.Assist with audits, reconciliations, and payroll system improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

2+ years of payroll processing experience, ideally in a multi-state environment.Proficiency with payroll systems (ADP, Paychex, Workday, or similar).Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and tax requirements.High attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality.
