Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in French Camp, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and efficient payroll operations while adhering to established policies and procedures. This position is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in payroll systems and a passion for precision within the healthcare industry.
Responsibilities:
• Collect, review, and maintain payroll and personnel records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with department and policy standards.
• Verify and process timecards, leave requests, and overtime forms, making necessary adjustments or corrections when required.
• Calculate and update time and leave accruals, reconciling payroll certifications and employee records.
• Prepare and post payroll actions for various personnel changes, ensuring all documents adhere to established guidelines.
• Research and resolve complex payroll and personnel issues, providing detailed explanations and support to supervisors and managers.
• Interpret and apply laws, regulations, and policies related to payroll and personnel functions, ensuring adherence to all legal requirements.
• Compile, maintain, and process statistical and financial data to support administrative and payroll operations.
• Develop and manage spreadsheets and databases to streamline payroll processes and generate accurate reports.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries effectively and efficiently.
• Prepare detailed reports and documents, applying advanced knowledge of payroll systems and subject matter expertise. Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll or related administrative functions.
• Proficiency with payroll software systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, or Dayforce.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll processes, including auditing and benefit administration.
• Experience with 401(k) or RRSP administration and other benefit-related functions.
• Advanced skills in developing and maintaining spreadsheets and databases.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to address payroll-related concerns effectively.
