Payroll Specialist
Description We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will handle payroll processing for a workforce of over 300 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with multi-state regulations. This position is based in Oakland, California, and offers an opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Responsibilities: • Process full-cycle payroll for a workforce exceeding 300 employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments. • Manage multi-state payroll operations, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies. • Utilize Dayforce software to execute payroll tasks and maintain employee records. • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies or employee inquiries in a detail-oriented and efficient manner. • Prepare and review payroll reports for accuracy and compliance. • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations. • Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations to maintain compliance. • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for audits and reporting purposes. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing. • Proficiency in multi-state payroll management. • Hands-on experience with Dayforce payroll software. • Ability to manage payroll for a workforce of over 500 employees. • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication skills for addressing payroll inquiries. • Knowledge of payroll laws and compliance standards. • Ability to work effectively in a contract position with minimal supervision.
