As the Payroll Clerk, your responsibilities will include data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution, and providing statements to various departments. This permanent position is a terrific opportunity and is based in the Hemet, California area. How you will make an impact - Build and run custom reports - Other duties as assigned - Instruct and train employees in the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc. - Administer and distribute reports as instructed - Maintain payroll information by contacting employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals - Ensure efficient operation of the department by performing clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc. - Comprise data into spreadsheets and the payroll system Requirements - Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills - Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement - Eagerness to master new systems - Excellent data entry skills - Strong familiarity with Non-Union - Comprehensive knowledge of payroll - Expertise in construction - Foundational knowledge in union payroll - Strong time management and organizational skills - Payroll software experience suggested - 2+ years of previous payroll experience Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
