Payroll Specialist
Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Sacramento, California. This role requires an experienced and detail-oriented individual who can manage all aspects of payroll operations efficiently while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Responsibilities: • Administer full-cycle payroll processing for a workforce of over 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Handle multi-state payroll operations, including adherence to varying state-specific regulations. • Utilize Paycom to manage payroll functions and generate reports. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax regulations. • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies. • Process employee benefits and deductions accurately within payroll systems. • Leverage Paycom and Sage Accounting Software to streamline payroll workflows. • Conduct audits of payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly. • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation for auditing purposes. • Provide support during system upgrades or transitions related to payroll functions. Requirements • Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing for large organizations with over 500 employees. • Proficiency in managing multi-state payroll operations and understanding of related compliance requirements. • Hands-on experience with Paycome and Sage Accounting Software. • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and reporting standards. • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. • Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and addressing employee concerns. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Familiarity with payroll audits and maintaining accurate documentation.
