A well-established professional services organization in Lincoln is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join its team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working independently, and takes pride in delivering accurate payroll services from start to finish.The Payroll Specialist will manage payroll for multiple clients, administer time and attendance systems, prepare payroll tax returns, and assist in onboarding new clients to the payroll program. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to remain calm under tight deadlines.ResponsibilitiesProcess payroll for multiple clients accurately and on scheduleManage and maintain time and attendance systemsPrepare and file payroll tax returns in compliance with state and federal regulationsOnboard and convert new clients to the payroll systemMaintain accurate and confidential payroll recordsAdminister benefit deductions, including 401(k), cafeteria, and flexible benefit plansProvide excellent customer service to clients, owners, and employeesQualifications and StrengthsMinimum of 5 years of recent payroll administration and processing experienceExperience with payroll and time/attendance systemsKnowledge of payroll and accounting principles, and state/federal employment lawsFamiliarity with 401(k), cafeteria plans, and flexible benefit plansProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelQuickBooks/ Evolution experience a plus, not requiredAbility to manage payroll details for multiple companiesStrong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skillsHigh level of integrity when working with confidential informationAbility to remain professional and composed under deadlinesBenefits and Perks401(k) retirement planHealth insuranceDisability insuranceCompetitive salary based on experienceAwesome team environmentYour New Organization
