Description We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract role where you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processes for a multi-state workforce. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the transition to a new payroll system, ensuring a smooth implementation process. • Perform thorough data validation to maintain accuracy and integrity within payroll systems. • Conduct testing and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate payroll processing. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for approximately 2,500 employees across multiple states. • Collaborate closely with managed services teams to address payroll-related challenges. • Provide ongoing support for payroll operations in compliance with state-specific regulations. • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze and report payroll data effectively. • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements throughout all payroll activities. • Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries in a timely and meticulous manner. Requirements • Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing, including multi-state payroll. • Familiarity with payroll systems such as UKG Pro. • Strong expertise in data validation and reconciliation. • Ability to manage payroll for large employee groups (500+ employees). • Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Knowledge of state-specific payroll regulations and compliance requirements. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Willingness to take on complex payroll challenges and adapt to evolving processes.
