Payroll Specialist
Description We are looking for a highly organized and detail-driven Payroll Specialist to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in managing payroll operations, ensuring accurate employee compensation, and supporting the transition to a new independent payroll platform. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of streamlined payroll processes while maintaining compliance and efficiency. Responsibilities: • Process payroll efficiently and accurately for all employees, ensuring compliance with multi-state regulations and organizational policies. • Coordinate labor invoicing activities to align with business requirements and ensure timely billing. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute the migration to a standalone payroll system. • Monitor and analyze payroll-related costs and administrative expenses to support budget management. • Assist in designing and implementing compensation and benefits workflows tailored to organizational needs. • Facilitate open enrollment processes, including system configuration, employee communications, and support. • Oversee year-end payroll activities, such as W2 and 1099 generation, reconciliations, and government filings. • Partner with HR and finance teams to ensure data integrity and seamless integration during system transitions. • Provide training and guidance to HR colleagues to support their adaptation to new systems and workflows. Requirements • Proven experience in full-cycle payroll management, including multi-state payroll processing. • Proficiency in using payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now. • Demonstrated ability to manage payroll operations for organizations with over 500 employees. • Strong understanding of compensation and benefits administration, including open enrollment workflows. • Experience in year-end payroll processes, including W2 and 1099 preparation and reconciliation. • Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful cross-functional collaboration. • Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in payroll data and reporting. • Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with vendors, finance, and HR teams.
