Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Boca Raton, Florida. In this role, you will handle payroll processing, resolve employee pay discrepancies, and provide detailed labor information to management. This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities: • Process payroll cycles accurately and on time, ensuring all transactions are compliant with company policies. • Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees in a detail-oriented and timely manner, documenting issues when appropriate. • Collaborate with facilities to clarify and resolve pay issues, deductions, or employee information discrepancies. • Assist with resolving garnishments, tax levies, and child support notices promptly. • Enter, analyze, and verify pay adjustments to ensure payroll accuracy. • Review and balance payroll reports prior to final transmission. • Prepare check requests for pay periods, monthly, or quarterly as required. • Distribute payroll checks and provide guidance to facilities based on their specific needs. • Maintain organized records of payroll processing documentation in designated employee files or folders. • Participate in special projects as assigned by the Payroll Supervisor. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent certification. • Three to five years of experience in multi-state payroll processing. • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. • Proficient in payroll and accounting software such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Dayforce, and other related systems. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work effectively with employees at all organizational levels. • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and query/report writing software. • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all payroll transactions.
