Payroll Specialist
People and Culture Operations & Advisory is an internal global shared services organisation, responsible for delivering centralised and standardised People and Culture Operations & Advisory for bp from several geographical delivery centres as appropriate for bp’s footprint. People and Culture Operations & Advisory are the first point of contact for People and Culture related matters; the team are policy and process experts, dedicated to delivering the best customer experience.
In this role You will:
Prepare and monitor payroll data ensuring processes and data are in place for payroll processing per country requirements and regulationsWork in coordination with the outsourced service provider to ensure gross to net data is prepared and submitted in time, review pre-payroll run data and verification, and provide final sign off to vendor prior to final payroll runs to employeesConduct start of year and end of year payroll administration, preparation and processing activities working with payroll service providerSupport audits and regulatory requests for payroll dataSupport payroll enquiries and issuesMonitor data quality, running checks during trial payroll period and correcting errorsProvide some subject matter expertise in payroll processes and a sound knowledge of end-to-end payroll deliveryIdentify, raise and apply continuous improvements to processesManage manual data entry for leave of absence, fuel card deductions, equity awardsManage the overpayments and reclaim process, liaising with HR to ensure consistent application of the overpayment policyWhat You will need to be successful:
Proven track record in managing payroll deliveries within the team in a shared service environment in a multi- national organizationKnowledge of Payroll systems and reporting extraction and running of macrosAdvanced Excel knowledgeNumeracy & analytical thinkingProficiency in using MS Office/Office365 application.High level of integrity and respect for data privacyGood problem-solving skillsGood time management skills, ability to keep tight deadlinesContinues improvement mindsetCustomer focused approach with exceptional communication skillsProficiency in English languageAt bp, we provide the following environment & benefits to you:
