Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Pittsburg, California. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a vital role in managing payroll processes and ensuring compliance with governmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to handle payroll for mid-sized organizations. Responsibilities: • Process bi-monthly payroll for employees in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. • Collaborate with internal teams to gather and verify payroll data. • Ensure accurate reporting and record-keeping for audits and compliance purposes. • Manage payroll-related documentation for employees, including tax forms and deductions. • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries efficiently. • Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Excel for payroll calculations and data analysis. • Handle payroll for organizations with 101-500 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance. • Contribute to the improvement of payroll processes and systems to enhance efficiency. Requirements • Proven experience in processing bi-monthly payroll for mid-sized organizations. • Familiarity with payroll procedures for 101-500 employees. • Strong knowledge of government audits and compliance requirements. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for payroll and data management. • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
