JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Payroll Specialist
Department: Human Resources
Location: Greeley, CO
Reports To: Payroll Supervisor
Primary Responsibilities:
Accurately enter data with a strong emphasis on 10-key proficiency.Review and verify timesheets to determine hours worked and ensure proper authorization.Process payroll calculations, including standard deductions and applicable taxes.Record payroll data on payroll sheets, ensuring all required information is included.Respond to complex payroll inquiries and gather necessary data for resolution.Calculate special payments and generate detailed payroll reports.Perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:
1–2 years of payroll experience, preferably within the transportation industry.Prior payroll experience is required.Solid understanding of payroll laws, procedures, and terminology.High accuracy in 10-key data entry.Experience with TMW and/or SAP is preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Windows-based applications.Strong customer service skills with a focus on timely and accurate issue resolution.Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently and effectively.Self-motivated with a process-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy.Dependable and reliable.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Excellent organizational skills.
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
