Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in San Francisco, California. This is a contract position that requires a detail-oriented individual to manage payroll operations for multiple entities in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in union and certified payroll processes, as well as familiarity with industry-specific software. Responsibilities: • Process weekly payroll for union employees and bi-weekly payroll for administrative staff. • Manage payroll operations across three affiliated companies with shared employees. • Ensure accurate timesheet auditing and oversee overtime calculations. • Handle onboarding tasks, including setting up new hires within payroll systems. • Utilize Foundation software to maintain payroll records and ensure compliance. • Coordinate with outsourced payroll tax services to meet regulatory requirements. • Monitor payroll schedules and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • Support growth initiatives by adapting payroll processes to accommodate increasing headcount. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing. • Proficiency in managing payroll for 100+ employees across multiple entities. • Expertise in union and certified payroll processes, specifically within the construction industry. • Familiarity with Foundation software or similar payroll systems. • Strong attention to detail and ability to audit timesheets accurately. • Knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations and compliance requirements. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Ability to work onsite in San Francisco, California.
