Our client, in Delray Beach, is seeking Payroll Specialist. This role plays a critical role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with applicable labor laws and tax regulations. This role requires in-depth knowledge of payroll systems like ADP Workforce Now, and UKG Pro. The position involves processing payroll, troubleshooting issues, and supporting organizational payroll needs
Requirements
Payroll Administration
+ Manage and execute end-to-end payroll processes using ADP and/or UKG Pro, ensuring timelines and accuracy are maintained (Source: DFST2025 - Midyear Update.pdf).
+ Input, review, and manage payroll data, including employee hours, pay rates, bonuses, deductions, and compliance updates.
+ Process and reconcile weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll runs for exempt and non-exempt employees.
Compliance and Reporting
+ Ensure payroll complies with federal, state, and local tax laws and labor regulations.
+ Reconcile and file payroll tax reports, unemployment insurance filings, and other compliance-related documentation using ADP or UKG (Source: DFST2025 - Midyear Update.pdf).
+ Generate payroll reports for management, auditing, and accounting purposes using built-in reporting features of ADP and UKG systems.
Systems Management
+ Maintain accurate employee data in ADP and/or UKG, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits integration, and tax information.
+ Troubleshoot technical payroll issues within ADP and UKG and work with vendor support teams when needed.
+ Assist in system upgrades, payroll migrations, or the implementation of new modules in ADP/UKG environments to improve efficiency.
Employee Support
+ Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees, such as questions about paychecks, deductions, and benefits.
+ Educate employees on how to navigate self-service tools within ADP and UKG platforms (Source: DFST2025 - Midyear Update.pdf).
Qualifications:
+ Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of payroll experience utilizing ADP Workforce Now, ADP Run, and/or UKG Pro.
+ Skills:
+ Strong proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
+ Knowledge of payroll-related federal, state, and local laws.
+ Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving, and time management skills.
+ Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus.
