Payroll Specialist
Description We are offering an employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist with Paycor or similar experience . This role involves managing high-volume payroll operations in a growing company that operates across multiple states, with a focus on California and Colorado. You will also play a pivotal role in the implementation of Paycor, a new payroll and HR software, ensuring accuracy and compliance across multistate payroll operations and contributing to process improvement. Responsibilities: • Accurately manage full-cycle multistate payroll for California and Colorado employees, adhering to state and federal regulations. • Align with management and IT teams to ensure a smooth transition and optimization of the new Paycor payroll software. • Regularly audit payroll records for accuracy, including hours worked, wages, deductions, taxes, and benefits. • Uphold compliance with labor laws and tax regulations, focusing primarily on California and Colorado requirements. • Offer expert advice on payroll matters to employees and internal departments. • Identify and resolve any payroll system or process issues during and after the implementation of Paycor. • Support the reporting and analysis of payroll data for accounting, auditing, and compliance purposes. • Continually assess and enhance payroll processes to boost efficiency and accuracy. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a related role. • Proficiency in the use of "Paycor" software. • General proficiency in payroll management and processing. • Extensive experience handling payroll for companies with 101 - 900 employees. • Familiarity with payroll garnishments and the ability to accurately calculate and process them. • Experience with in-house payroll processing and management. • Proficiency in handling multi-state payroll, including understanding the unique requirements and regulations of each state. • Experience managing payroll for large companies with over 500 employees. • Familiarity with various payroll functions and processes. • Ability to process biweekly payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
